Alcatel One Touch has landed its first phone with a Tier 1 US wireless carrier in the form of the Sparq messaging phone for T-Mobile's prepaid lineup. Originally introduced by Alcatel as the One Touch 606a, the phone sports a slide-out text keyboard, FM radio, memory card slot, music player, Bluetooth, and a VGA camera. Alcatel One Touch is the mobile brand for TCT Mobile, a division of TCL Corporation, based in Hong Kong. The Alcatel brand is used under license from Alcatel-Lucent. Alcatel One Touch launched in North America in 2007, and already does business with 30 regional carriers in the US and Canada, but the Sparq is the company's first phone with a Tier 1 national carrier. The phone is available now for $79.99.
