Verizon Wireless Pushing Gingerbread to HTC Thunderbolt
Verizon Wireless today indicated that it is updating the HTC Thunderbolt to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The update can be retrieved from the Thunderbolt's system menus and downloaded over the air.
More Carriers and Phone Makers Agree to Adopt Google's RCS-Based 'Android Messages' Service
Google today said more wireless network operators and handset manufacturers will use Android Messages, its RCS-based messaging service, as the default SMS/MMS tool on their phones. (Android Messages was previously known as Google Messenger.) Some of the features of RCS, which is a global standard, include group chat, high-resolution photo sharing, advanced calling features, and read receipts.
HTC's Unlocked 10 Snags Android 7 Update
HTC said the unlocked variant of its HTC 10 smartphone should receive Android 7 Nougat beginning today. The update is being pushed out over-the-air to the U.S.

Verizon Wireless is now pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop to the HTC One M8. In addition to the new operating system, the update enables Band 4 roaming and improves the three-way calling feature.

Verizon Wireless today said it is providing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to a handful of phones, including the HTC One M9, LG G4, and LG G3. For the M9, Marshmallow brings Android Pay support, customizable notifications, Google Now On Tap, Doze, bug fixes and other improvements.
I dont think this phone will get ICS.
Unofficially though, there will be plenty of options. I wish carriers would agree for swift updates for atleast 2 years on their phones (to reflect contract length).
