Microsoft Opens Up Mango Update to All Windows Phones
Microsoft today announced that all Windows Phone 7 devices now have access to 7.5 Mango. Microsoft had previously only made Mango available to about 50% of the Windows Phones in the market, but says the update process has been rolling forward very smoothly. In the U.S., all WP7 devices except the Dell Venue Pro should be receiving the Mango update from their carrier at this time. Microsoft also indicated that starting next week it will deliver some device-specific updates that augment the Mango update. Device users will be alerted when these secondary updates become available.

HTC Surround Now Receiving NoDo Update
Microsoft recently revealed that it has finalized the February and March NoDo updates for the HTC Surround, which is available from AT&T. Both updates can be installed by HTC Surround users.

According to an internal memo supplied to Phone Scoop, Nokia and Navteq are undertaking a massive reorganizational approach to their mapping and social networking services. The three foundational elements behind this change are being made to support the following: new social-location applications, services, and developer experiences that engage a large user-base to build a winning brand and ecosystem together with Microsoft; high-value location content enabling differentiated experiences; and high-value advertising network monetizing the ecosystem by providing local commerce services for brands and merchants.
Microsoft and Nokia Finalize Agreement
Microsoft and Nokia today announced that they've agreed to the broad terms and finer details concerning Nokia's use of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform in its future smartphones. The companies said they already have a product roadmap looking ahead several years, and they are hoping to ship their first WP7 device by the end of the year.
