Handango Honors Best Mobile Software

Mobile software retailer Handango recently announced the winners of the 2004 Handango Champion Awards. Judged by members of the media and other industry experts, the awards honor the best in mobile software. Awards were given for eight different categories, across five major platforms, including Windows Mobile, Symbian, Java, Palm OS, and Linux, for a total of 37 winning software titles.

FCC Awards Spectrum Licenses to AWS-3 Bidders
The FCC today officially granted some winning bidders in the AWS-3 spectrum auction the licenses allowing them to take ownership of the airwaves. The AWS-3 spectrum auction concluded earlier this year, with AT&T, Dish Networks, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless the top four bidders.
Skype to End Support for Windows Phone 7 and Symbian
Microsoft recently indicated it will cease to support Skype on devices running Windows Phone 7 and Symbian. The company said it will retire the official Skype app for WP7, as well as any ancillary apps that support it over the next few weeks.
