Google's Schmidt: Ice Cream Sandwich on Order for Oct/Nov

Speaking at the SalesForce.com event held in San Francisco last week, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt confirmed that the next version of Android, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, will be released at some point in October or November. Schmidt said during an interview, "We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone's really excited about." Schmidt has alluded to Ice Cream Sandwich in the past, explaining that this new version of Android will merge the features of Gingerbread and Honeycomb into one new system.

I wonder....

How long it will take my mytouch4G to update to this new operating system, considering, I'm still waiting on 2.3; gingerbread! I hope they get faster at releasing these in the future!
Dude gingerbread has been available to you for a very long time!! And you do not have to be rooted, its an official update from T-Mobile. You might wanna go to setting\software update at the bottom and check if the update is there. If not, then you ca...
