HTC Wildfire S Streets on T-Mobile Aug. 3 for $79
T-Mobile today announced the upcoming availability of the HTC Wildfire S. This smaller Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone has a 600MHz processor, 3.2-inch touch display with 320 x 480 pixels, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and support for T-Mobile's 3G network. It will be avaialble starting on August 3, and will cost $79.99 after rebates with a new agreement. It will be sold at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores, as well as from T-Mobile.com.

More Carriers and Phone Makers Agree to Adopt Google's RCS-Based 'Android Messages' Service
Google today said more wireless network operators and handset manufacturers will use Android Messages, its RCS-based messaging service, as the default SMS/MMS tool on their phones. (Android Messages was previously known as Google Messenger.) Some of the features of RCS, which is a global standard, include group chat, high-resolution photo sharing, advanced calling features, and read receipts.
ZTE Obsidian Lands on T-Mobile August 13
T-Mobile today revealed the ZTE Obsidian, a compact entry-level Android smartphone. The Obsidian features a 4.5-inch screen with 854 by 480 resolution and a 1GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM.
T-Mobile and MetroPCS to Sell ZTE Concord II
ZTE today announced the Concord II, an Android smartphone that will be sold by both T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The Concord II is a low-cost device that follows the 2012-era original.
Motorola's Refreshed G Series Streets July 12
Motorola today said its fourth-generation G series smartphones will go on sale beginning July 12. The G4 will cost $199 and the G4 Plus (pictured) will cost $249.
T-Mobile Picks Up Coolpad Catalyst for $100
Coolpad today said T-Mobile has agreed to sell its Catalyst Android smartphone. The Catalyst will be the first Coolpad phone sold to postpaid customers in the U.S.
