HTC MyTouch 4G Slide to Street July 27
T-Mobile today said that the HTC myTouch 4G Slide will be available for pre-order online only starting on July 19. It will go on sale via T-Mobile retail stores and select dealers starting July 27. It will cost $199.99 after rebates with new agreement. The HTC myTouch 4G Slide is an update to the myTouch line that offers a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and improves the camera to 8 megapixels and adds HDR and burst-shot features.
AT&T's LG G3 Reaches Stores July 11
AT&T today said its variant of the LG G3 will be available in stores starting July 11, with preorders starting July 8. AT&T is charging $199 for the G3 with a new contract, or $24.17 per month with AT&T Next 18, or $29 per month with AT&T Next 12 (no down payment required with the Next plans).
More Carriers and Phone Makers Agree to Adopt Google's RCS-Based 'Android Messages' Service
Google today said more wireless network operators and handset manufacturers will use Android Messages, its RCS-based messaging service, as the default SMS/MMS tool on their phones. (Android Messages was previously known as Google Messenger.) Some of the features of RCS, which is a global standard, include group chat, high-resolution photo sharing, advanced calling features, and read receipts.
Verizon to Sell BlackBerry Priv Starting Today
Verizon Wireless is now offering the BlackBerry Priv to customers. The device is available for purchase online beginning today, and will reach retail stores March 11.
HTC to Sell Low-Cost Desire 530 In US This Month
HTC today said several U.S. carriers will soon offer its Desire 530 smartphone.
