Facebook 2.0 for Windows Phone 7 Adds Push Notifications
The Facebook application for Windows Phone 7 was recently updated to version 2.0. The new software adds push notifications to the WP7 home screen live tiles. Users can select to receive a wide range of different push notifications on their home screens, such as messages, wall posts comments, replies, photo tags, photo comments, and more. The number of options allows WP7 users to fine-tune how they are notified about a number of different Facebook activities. The update is free.

Facebook said it was inspired to create the service after an Amber alert posted to Facebook by a user resulted in the recovery of an abducted child.
