T-Mobile Announces HSPA+ Expansion
T-Mobile today announced that it has launched its HSPA+ "4G" network in a handful of new markets, including Barnstable, Mass.; Chico, Calif.; Lancaster, Penn.; Ogden, Utah; Redding, Calif.; Vineland, N.J., and Winchester, Va. T-Mobile says its HSPA+ network now reaches 200 million Americans across 190 markets.

T-Mobile is more aggressively transitioning its HSPA+/UMTS service from its 1700 MHz AWS-1 spectrum to its 1900 MHz PCS spectrum. Moving HSPA+ service to 1900 MHz clears up more room in the 1700 MHz band for LTE.
MetroPCS CDMA Network Shutdown On Track for June 21
MetroPCS plans to switch off its legacy CDMA network on June 21. MetroPCS parent T-Mobile says about 190,000 customers are still using CDMA handsets in the three markets that offer CDMA coverage, down from 300,000 about a month ago.
T-Mobile Touts Network Milestones
T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray took to the company's blog today to share news of the Uncarrier's LTE network. The company says its LTE 4G footprint grew by almost 1 million square miles during 2015 and is available to 304 million Americans.
