Microsoft Outs More Mango Features
Microsoft today provided another brief look at some of the new features headed to the Mango release of Windows Phone 7 later this year. The changes Microsoft revealed today concern its SkyDrive cloud-based server. In addition to the ability to store and search documents, WP7 Mango handsets will also be able to share photos stored on SkyDrive via email, text, or IM, and share video on SkyDrive. These two features add to WP7's media sharing and cloud-based tools.
Verizon Updates Cloud App with Smart Albums
Verizon Wireless has improved the Verizon Cloud app for Android devices with new features called Smart Albums and Print Shop. Smart Albums can automatically select the best photos and videos to create albums based on events and locations.
Skype Douses Android and iOS Apps with Silliness
Skype's mobile app for Android and iOS devices now looks a lot more like Facebook Messenger, based on the preview released by Microsoft this week. In a blog post, Microsoft explained the new features are meant to make conversations more expressive and entertaining.

Though Microsoft plans to eventually can the Nokia X platform, the company today announced an update that adds several new features to the operating system. According to Microsoft, the improved OS now includes an app switcher for multitasking.
Microsoft Releases File Management App for Windows Phone
Microsoft today announced the immediate availability of Files, a file management application for Windows Phone handsets. The application lets Windows Phone owners access files stored on their phone's internal memory and SD card; browse, search, and launch files; share single or multiple files at a time; create folders; and copy, move, rename, and delete files.
