Google today indicated through a post on the Android Developers Blog that Sprint has begun supporting Direct Carrier Billing for applications purchased by Sprint Android handset owners. Sprint's customers can now buy applications in the Android Market and have the fees added directly to their Sprint monthly bill (rather than require the use of a credit card). Google said that the new functionality will be rolled out in phases, but all Sprint customers should have access to carrier billing within the next few days. Direct Carrier Billing is already supported by AT&T and T-Mobile.

Good
I won't use Google's payment system. True story: I once used my credit card to purchase an app on our store demo phone. Well, apparently every store demo phone in my district (20 stores) uses the same e-mail address, which is what my credit card was attached to. All of the sudden, I start seeing small purchases constantly from Google on my bank statement. I finally ended up having to get a new bank card because I could not figure out how to remove my credit card information from Google's system.
Long story short, I will not use Google directly to purchase an app. I will, however, consider using carrier billing to.
I prefer carrier billing....as far as I am concerned, the fewer companies that know my credit card number, the better.
All I have to say is...
My son/daughter/husband/random friend did not purchase anything from the Android store!!!
I demand a refund!
Really? We don't already have enough problems to deal with... ugh.
