LG Thrive Announced As GoPhone's First Smartphone

AT&T today announced that the LG Thrive will be the first Android smartphone available from its GoPhone pre-paid service, starting April 17. The Thrive will also be available from AT&T's normal post-paid service as the Phoenix. The Thrive/Phoenix have a 3.2-inch touch display, run Android 2.2 Froyo, and include a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. Other features include HSDPA 3G at 7.2Mbps, a 600MHz processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and support for microSD cards up to 32GB. The LG Thrive will cost $179.99 and requires a GoPhone smartphone data package. The Phoenix will cost $49.99 and requires a two-year agreement.
