Layar Browser 5.0 Adds Twitter and Facebook Sharing

Layar announced recently that version 5.0 of its browser for the Android and iOS platforms has graduated from beta and is now a full release. This new version of Layar makes a number of improvements over the previous version, including the ability to share layers on Facebook and Twitter. The new augmented reality browser also adds animation support for 3D models, which makes them more responsive. Last, Layar said that it has made some usability tweaks that let users save their favorite layers, as well as more easily scan through their layer history. The new version is available for Android and iOS immediately, and Layar said that the Symbian version will be updated in the near future.
