MiTAC Unveils 2nd Smartphone

Taiwanese phone maker MiTAC yesterday announced its second smartphone based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform. The MiTAC Mio 8390 is a tri-band GSM clamshell like its predecessor, the 8380. The new model is smaller, and steps up to a VGA camera with video recording, a 260,000-color display, and the 2003 version of Microsoft's OS. Additional features include Java MIDP 2.0, 40-chord polyphonic ringtones, 16 MB of memory, and a SD/MMC memory card slot.

This phone is DAMN sexy!!

Too bad it doesn't have GSM 850 support...
Which means it'll never see the light of day in the States... 😡
...
That's funny. I was just thinking it was kind of plain. To each his own, I guess.
