T-Mobile Throws 10GB Data Plan into the Mix

T-Mobile recently introduced a new 10GB monthly mobile broadband plan. The 10GB plan, which can be used with its laptop dongles and other mobile broadband products, offers access for $84.99 per month with no overage fees. (T-Mobile noted that it will throttle down the connection speeds of those who exceed the monthly limit.) T-Mobile also offers a 5GB monthly plan for $49.99 with no overage fees, but with throttling. Last, T-Mobile offers a 200MB plan for $29.99, though this plan incurs overage charges for excessive use.

The new Pooled Plan lets multiple lines share a set, customizable amount of data, as a cheaper alternative to unlimited plans (which US Mobile continues to offer.) Monthly pricing for Pooled Plans is $9/line, plus $2 per GB of shared 4G/5G data.

The National Advertising Review Board has issued a final decision that Mint Mobile should not use the word "unlimited" to describe its top-end plan as currently implemented. The plan is actually capped at 35 GB of full-speed data.

not trolling, just saying

It's nice to see a rather cheap option with that 200 MB plan; however, for only 5 dollars more, Verizon's 35 dollar 3GB plan represents a much better value for anyone who needs regular daily access rather than merely checking their email only once or twice a month.

Well, if it is on an account with a voice plan, they give 20% off the broadband, I believe. So that would make it a little bit cheaper.

Anyway, with the 5GB plan (with no overages) that is 49.99 - 10 (20% discount if on voice plan), that would be ...

I must say again- I really, really like T-mobile's pricing strategy here.

No hard caps + no overages = WIN!

Might want to mention that customers who already have T-Mobile postpaid voice service also get 20% off mobile broadband.
