AT&T Offering Free Calls and Texts to Japan

AT&T today announced that it is offering its wireless and wireline customers free phone calls to Japan until the end of the month (effective starting March 11). AT&T is also waiving charges for text messages sent to Japan. AT&T is providing this service so that its customers may reach out to loved ones in the earthquake and tsunami-stricken country.

Awkwardly enough...

...despite so many international customers that I speak with on a daily basis, there has not been one mention of the tragedy in Japan or any need to communicate with the anybody there. 😕
The damage is immeasurable. I think the catastrophe has not yet begin to take on the dramatic effects or mindset of what has happened.

I commend ATT to open up their lines for people to communicate with anyone they know that has been victimized by...
