Research In Motion today made the BlackBerry Analytics SDK available to developers. The new tools will let BlackBerry app developers tap metrics and other stats to help them evaluate how their apps are being used.
Google Publishes Android 5.0 Preview, Updates SDK
Google today made available several significant tools for developers ahead of the general release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. First, Google released updated developer images for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), ADT-1, and the Android emulator.
Yahoo Debuts New App Developer Suite
Yahoo today announced the Yahoo Mobile Developer Suite, a collection of five products meant to help developers get the most out of their mobile apps. The suite contains Flurry Analytics with Explorer, Flurry Pulse, Yahoo App Publishing, Yahoo Search in Apps, and Yahoo App Marketing.
Google Now Pushing Play Services 6.1
Google said it is delivering Play Services 6.1 to most Android devices running 2.3 Gingerbread and up. This update targets three aspects of Play Services: analytics, Google Drive, and Google Fit.
BlackBerry to Kill Off Advertising Business
BlackBerry today said its BlackBerry Advertising Service will reach its end of life on June 16, 2015, after which the servers will be disabled and the APIs will no longer work. BlackBerry launched the service to help developers generate ad-based revenue via mobile applications.
