At a keynote speech in Barcelona today, Research In Motion CEO Jim Balsillie announced that "many, if not most" new BlackBerry phones in 2011 will have NFC technology for contactless mobile payments.

Target Adds Mobile Payment Feature to its App
Target today made it possible for people to make in-store payments with their smartphones through the Target mobile app. Similar to Walmart’s offering, shoppers can link their debit cart to the new Wallet function within the Target app.
Mastercard Adds Retail Mobile Payments to Bank Apps
Android owners will soon be able to use their own mobile banking app — rather than Android Pay or Samsung Pay — to make tap-and-go payments in stores. Mastercard has expanded its Masterpass program to mobile devices so consumers can make contactless payments at various retailers.
