AT&T today announced a new calling program called Any Mobile Number. The new plan allows AT&T subscribers to make unlimited voice calls to any mobile number in the U.S., regardless of network operator. Any Mobile Number goes into effect this Thursday, and requires an existing voice plan and the $20/month unlimited messaging plan. Customers may sign up for the plan starting February 10.

Shoot

Not available on the family plan.
Wrong. At least 700 minute plan with unlimited family messaging qualifies.

Verizon DOES have this already

I'm in Texas, and Verizon offers free talk and text to any mobile for $59.99. I can't remember which markets it's in, but I know it's Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana for sure.

That's an old article, but there was an ad in the paper Sunday marketing it to about 5 different states.
That's nice. AT&T has it now.
...
Yeah, but it was a limited shot offer. It's not even offered anymore. That's like one of those plans that if you activate it within a certain range of dates, you get a bonus 200 minutes. It's not a solid offer.
...
And where do you think they got it from? Sprint has had this for a while now. Verizon has it in a few states but Sprint already has this nationwide. I use an unbelievable amount of any mobile anytime mins. 😎

what's the difference....

umlimited mobile to unlimited calling...

isn't unlimited calling even better since I can call anyone even landline???
Of course, Unlimited calling is better. Where is the debate?
...
Unlimited calling costs more. With this, someone who primarily calls other mobiles could reduce their monthly bill by just paying for the minutes they need to call land lines.
THE ADVANTAGE IS THAT THE $20 UNLIMITED MESSAGING PLAN NOW ALSO GIVES YOU UNLIMITED ANY MOBILE CALLING FOR THE SAME PRICE....sorry for the caps....didnt realize it was on lock
Well for me it's awesome enough to leave Sprint most call way more mobiles anyway and before 450 whenever mins just wasnt enough now this is good for me at least

TO SETTLE WHO IS THE BEST CARRIER OF THE BIG 4 FOR 2011

NONE! at&t, t-mobile, sprint, verizon all suck, they price fix and meet behind closed doors while the FCC looks the other way and makes a few tiny moves that mean nothing. anyone who believes this isn't happening is a naive fool.

-TRUE-
And the sky is falling too. There is no carrier that is 100% perfect anywhere. Each carrier has their faults. That's -TRUE-. The only way anyone can legitimately say their carrier gives them flawless coverage is if they never travel outside their ...

Let's get the real benefit...

AT&T no longer requires customers to have an unlimited messaging plan for those who want a touch screen or QWERTY phone. This is good people!!!
Yes & I am already gladly leaving Sprint no more waiting on better selection of phones this was just the push I needed!

Goodbye Sprint for me..

I already have my Lg Quantum ordered as of last night 🙂 this was the icing on the cake for me to leave Sprint since Att is offering this on there base 450 min plan. With the lack of phones rude agents etc at Sprint this was just what I needed and the pricing is almost in line w what I was paying Sprint now. I don even care if it's a few bucks more a month even. there coverage at least where I live is better for me too. Mo more Airave needed. Before anybody says ya no "unlimited" data though etc. I am fine with that, actually only added the 200mb plan because I am on wifi so much to me att adding this may entice alot of people like me looking for that little extra push to leave. As the 450 whenever mins before just wouldn't have been enough....

Sprint HAS had this for a long time

any data plan $69.99 or data shared plan has had unlimited anymobile calling for like a year now... 😁
how about that. how nice for sprint!
...
Has anyone else noticed that every time there is a news post concerning a new feature or change concerning one of the big carriers the first comment thread is always a Sprint troll trying to convince us that Sprint had it first and/or does it better?

That's true...and a fat lot of good it has done them too....what with their historically high churn rate, and their chronic inability to make a profit.

Surprisingly, giving your service away doesn't seem to be a path to profitability.
...
Yeah? But last line of their contracts say you don't get the benefit of them off network. AT&T doesn't really have roaming partners anymore so I don't think they'll be having that clause in there.

Sprint will also cancel you when you use majority o...

what does this mean for rollover minutes

With AT&T now offering any mobile unlimited will we finally see the removal of rollover minutes this year?
Rollover + this would be huge but doesn't rollover minutes expire when the contract is up?

I'm sure VZW will follow soon since they both always copy/mirror each other.
...
you still keep your rollover minutes because you still use your minutes when you call or recieve call from landline phone. 1400 or higher has A-List too remember///on individual line you can have nat 450 plan w/rollover-unlimited text and mobile to mo...

Another Sprint first!

Looks like att is taking a play out of Sprints playbook and anouncing any mobile anytime. Sprint rolled this out last year and now verizon and att are joining the party. 😎
+10 internets for you sir, what would we do without you?

boo hoo so-and-so already has this

WHO CARES who already has this feature
my point is, quit whining about how sprint already has this (sprint trolls, this is for you). the point is, the big carriers are getting more aggressive with features and pricing and getting more competitive with each other. isn't that a good thing??
...
This topic seems to have already resolved itself above. Let's not open it again unnecessarily.
