RadioShack Expands 'Trade and Save' Program
RadioShack today announced that for the next month, it will expand its "Trade and Save" program, which offers instant rebates off the price of new phones when old phones are traded in. RadioShack says that any working phone that's not damaged will be worth $50 towards the purchase of a new phone. For the next two weeks, the $50 will be good toward the HTC EVO 4G and EVO Shift 4G (through Feb. 12). Starting February 12 and running through March 5, RadioShack will offer discounts towards other devices.
Verizon Intros Trade-In Program for $300 Off Flagship Phones
Verizon Wireless today said customers can trade in an old flagship smartphone for up to $300 off a new flagship smartphone. The promotion is limited to certain handsets.
Apple Extends iPhone Upgrade Program to Online Sales
Apple is now offering consumers the option to select its iPhone Upgrade Program when purchasing an iPhone via the Apple web site. Apple first rolled out the program last year with the debut of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
Sprint Phones Vanishing from Walmart
Sprint's presence at the nation's largest retailer has dwindled in recent weeks, according to Fierce Wireless. Some 500 Walmart stores across the country continue to sell Spint handsets, but the majority of Walmart's 4,177 brick-and-mortar locations no longer have them in stock.
T-Mobile Clearing Out iPhone 7 Inventory
T-Mobile today introduced a limited-time offer to save big bucks on the Apple iPhone 7. The Uncarrier will give a $300 credit to those who trade in an iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, or 6s Plus for an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.
