RadioShack Expands 'Trade and Save' Program
RadioShack today announced that for the next month, it will expand its "Trade and Save" program, which offers instant rebates off the price of new phones when old phones are traded in. RadioShack says that any working phone that's not damaged will be worth $50 towards the purchase of a new phone. For the next two weeks, the $50 will be good toward the HTC EVO 4G and EVO Shift 4G (through Feb. 12). Starting February 12 and running through March 5, RadioShack will offer discounts towards other devices.
RadioShack Expands Fix-It-Here Program
RadioShack today said its has increased the footprint of its Fix It Here service to 26 stores in and around Chicago. Consumers with broken or damaged smartphones and tablets can take their device to RadioShack, where select problems can be repaired.

RadioShack Declares Bankruptcy, to Sell Stores to Sprint
RadioShack today filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and signed an agreement to sell approximately 1,750 of its stores to Sprint. Under the terms of RadioShack's Chapter 11 filing, RadioShack will sell the stores to Sprint and General Wireless, a subsidiary of one of RadioShack's major investors.
Judge Approves Sale of RadioShack Stores
A U.S. judge has given RadioShack permission to sell its 1,740 stores to Standard General, a hedge fund that plans to operate the stores with Sprint.
