Verizon's Bold 9650 & Curve 3G Gain BlackBerry 6 Today

Verizon Wireless today announced that it is offering customers of the BlackBerry 9650 Bold and the BlackBerry Curve 3G the new BlackBerry 6 operating system via software update. Customers can update over the air beginning after 8PM EST tonight, or through the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application on their computer. The update brings user interface changes to the Bold and Curve, as well as several new features, such as Universal Search, improved browser, and better media support.

It is about time. I don't know why they took so long to give this to us. 🙂 😁
The 9650 and Curve 3G were both produced with the intent of eventually upgrading them to 6.0, so the only possible reason for the delay is Verizon, no doubt doing testing to make sure it worked, didin't harm the network, and to train their technical s...
