Late last week, Facebook announced upcoming changes to how users share their personal data. Facebook wanted to make it easier for people to share their mobile phone numbers and street addresses with third-party sites. Though users must opt into this feature, the tools Facebook had in place were not very clear to use. Feedback Facebook received over the weekend prompted it to announce this morning that it is putting the feature on hold while revamping the tools. Users are cautioned to be careful when choosing how and with whom to share personal data.
