Samsung Planning Big News for Mobile World Congress
Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show, JK Shin, the president of Samsung's mobile communications business, said the company will announce dual-core smartphones and tablets at the Mobile World Congress event, to be held in Barcelona next month. Shin said that Samsung plans to have 4G devices on all the major carriers in the U.S. soon, and also indicated that Samsung has more Windows Phone 7 devices prepared. Samsung announced two 4G devices at CES, including the Infuse 4G and the unnamed Android smartphone with LTE for Verizon's network.
Samsung Teases Reimagined Camera Experience on Galaxy S9
Samsung today suggested that the camera on its forthcoming Galaxy S9 smartphone will be quite different from that of the S8 and previous devices. "Imagine a camera that can see more than your eyes — one that can help you capture every moment and change the way you experience the world," said the company on its web site.
Samsung to Announce Galaxy S8 On March 29 In NYC
Samsung used its press conference at Mobile World Congress to tell everyone that the Galaxy S8 is right around the corner. In a short teaser video, Samsung said the phone will make its worldwide debut on March 29 at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The FCC today approved a new high-end Samsung phone that is almost certainly the company's forthcoming Note 8 flagship phone. If Samsung chooses a new branding for its Note series, this phone will be the spiritual successor to the ill-fated Note7.
Samsung Says the Galaxy S9 Will Debut at MWC
Samsung plans to announce its 2018 flagship handset at next month's Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. Some had speculated the company would reveal the phone at CES, but JD Koh, president of Samsung's mobile business, confirmed to ZDNet that the Galaxy S9 will arrive in February.
