Universal Phone Charger Spec Finalized

Two European standards groups have formally issued specifications for a standard mobile phone charger design. Based on micro-USB, the standard was requested by the European Commission, and agreed to by Apple, Huawei, LG, Motorola, Nokia, RIM, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Phones and chargers using the new standard are expected to appear worldwide in 2011.
