New Blackberry Adds GSM 850

Cingular and Research In Motion (RIM) this week demonstrated the new BlackBerry 7280™ handheld. The new BlackBerry features a color screen with added 850 MHz support allowing it to operate in new markets on the Cingular network. The GSM 850/1800/1900 phone is otherwise similar to the RIM's current 7210 and 7230 models. Availability was not announced.

What about 900 Mhz band

850 is nice but this is little use for travelers in many parts of the world where 900 is prevalent.
