Google today announced that it has redesigned Google News for better viewing from mobile handsets. The update, which applies to the Android, iOS and webOS platforms, offers more space around individual news topics for easier navigation and interacting with the on-screen controls. Google News items are also now collapsed, with only the primary story visible for any given topic. In order to see more stories on a topic, users have to click to view them. The collapsed view also makes for a shorter Google News page, which let's users scroll through the stories faster. The updated version of Google News for mobile devices is already live.
