Yahoo today announced that itsYahoo Mobile Web Messenger product can now send SMS messages. The new feature works on both smartphones and mass market handsets. Rather than work from a stand-alone Yahoo Messenger client, users need to browse to m.yahoo.com/messenger from their mobile browser to access IM and the new SMS feature. It is free to use.
