MetroPCS Launches LTE in Motor City
MetroPCS today announced that it has launched its Long Term Evolution network in Detroit, Mich., and surrounding environs. Customers in that area can purchase the Samsung Craft, which is the first LTE handset being made available by MetroPCS, for $300. Plans for LTE service cost $55 and $60. MetroPCS launched LTE in Las Vegas and Dallas-Forth Worth earlier this year.

MetroPCS CDMA Network Shutdown On Track for June 21
MetroPCS plans to switch off its legacy CDMA network on June 21. MetroPCS parent T-Mobile says about 190,000 customers are still using CDMA handsets in the three markets that offer CDMA coverage, down from 300,000 about a month ago.
