T-Mobile on Tuesday said that it began pushing an over-the-air update to owners of the original HTC myTouch 3G on October 13. The update will install Android 2.2 Froyo on the myTouch 3G, which includes a number of improved and new features system wide. The update is being rolled out in waves and will continue to be rolled out until all users have updated. T-Mobile expects the process to take until October 31. Further, T-Mobile said that the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition, and the T-Mobile myTouch Slide will be updated at a later, unspecified date.

Are you efin kidding me???

That POS myTouch 3G can get it but not the Hero or the Moment??? Seriously WTF??? The Moment even has a faster processor!!! You can always root the devices but still. If the myTouch is capable of running Froyo then there is no reason whatsoever why the Hero should be deprived of it. Mytouch customers have waited a long time and it looks like they wont get left behind.
So do you think manufacture's leaving their phones behind or is it the carrier? Cause obviously as you stated the hero and moment should be able to get froyo too...
