T-Mobile USA Swaps Out CEO, Shuffles Other Execs
T-Mobile USA today noted that Philipp Humm will become the company's new president and chief executive officer effective starting November 1. He will replace outgoing CEO Robert Dotson. Humm served as the CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland from 2005 to 2008. Humm was responsible for bringing Apple's iPhone to Germany in 2007. The company has also altered the lineup up its other c-level officers. Moving forward, top management is as follows: Cole Brodman, chief marketing officer; Jim Alling, chief operations officer; Neville Ray, chief technology officer; Brian Kirkpatrick, chief financial officer; Larry Myers, chief people officer; Dave Miller, general counsel and chief legal officer; and Peter Ewens, chief strategy officer.
Sprint Shuffles Execs, Names New CFO
Sprint today made changes to its top executives and named a new chief financial officer. Sprint appointed Tarek Robbiati to the CFO position, where he replaces Joseph Euteneuer, who will leave the company.
Apple Promotes Jony Ive to Chief Design Officer
Apple has promoted Jony Ive, the company's design guru, to the newly created Chief Design Officer position. Ive's previous title was Senior Vice President of Design.
Claure-Appointed Exec to Depart Sprint
Bob Johnson, Sprint's Chief Experience Officer, will leave the company by the end of April. Johnson was in an early batch of new hires made by CEO Marcelo Claure shortly after he took over the struggling carrier in 2014.

Sprint is adjusting its top ranks in an effort to streamline its management structure, according to an internal memo obtained by Fierce Wireless. To start, a number of executives are departing the company, including COO Günther Ottendorfer, who's been behind a lot of Sprint's network advancements.
