According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is ready to unveil its own storefront for Android applications. The Journal says Amazon's store will offer the same 70/30 revenue split with developers offered by Google, and that the apps can't be priced lower through other app outlets. Apps will need to appear within the Amazon app outlet within two weeks of an app's debut in other app outlets. Developers who've spoken to Amazon said they haven't been told what the application storefront will be called, nor when it will launch. Such a storefront would compete directly against Google's Android Market.

i wish someone would come up with an app or some way to uninstall that stupid amazon app that comes on android
Man, what's wrong with the Amazon app? You can d/l music! I've d/l music a few times using it.
LauncherPro allows app drawer items to be hidden from view, just like Blackberries. You'll have to shell out the $3 for the paid version to get that feature included, but might be well worth it if it bothers you so much.

It still doesn't uninstall...
