Google Composes BlindType an Acquisition Letter
Oct 1, 2010, 10:21 PM by Eric M. Zeman
BlindType today announced that it has been acquired by Google. BlindType has developed predictive software to aid typing and text input on touch-based mobile phones. The company claims that its software is better than that of its competitors, and allows touch phone users to type on touch screens without looking at their handset. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and BlindType didn't spell out what aspect of Google it woud fall under. Google's Android operating system relies on touch-based input, and some handset makers have begun using predictive typing software from Swype.
