Microsoft and AT&T to Kick Off Windows Phone 7 Oct. 11

According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft and AT&T will formally announce the first Windows Phone 7 handsets at an event in New York City on October 11. The Journal's sources indicate that AT&T will offer three handsets — one each from HTC, LG and Samsung — beginning the week of November 8 of this year. Microsoft does have an event planned for October 11 in New York, and Phone Scoop will be attending the event. The Journal's sources didn't provide any more information about the handsets.
