AT&T announced today that it plans to offer the BlackBerry Curve 3G and Pearl 3G smartphones from Research In Motion. The Pearl 3G will be available online and in stores starting October 17 for $150. The Curve 3G will be available in time for the holidays for $100. Neither phone requires a rebate. The devices each add 3G (in the GSM models) for the first time. AT&T pointed out that the Curve 3G is BlackBerry 6 ready, but didn't say when it might be updated to the newer OS from RIM. It didn't mention if the Pearl 3G is BlackBerry 6 ready.
