Sprint 4G Signal Now Flickering in New York City

Some owners of Sprint 4G devices, such as the Sprint Overdrive or Samsung Epic 4G, may begin to see WiMAX service appearing sporadically in the New York City area. According to Sprint PR rep Stephanie Vinge, the WiMAX network is being prepped for launch soon. Sprint today announced expanded coverage in Boston, Daytona Beach, Florida and Providence, Rhode Island.

Alright nice

Once 10+ million people in NYC get 5-7mbps DL speeds word will spread fast about the EVO & EPIC about how they are the top 2 phones in the USA right now..

Once Wimax 2 update is released with 50mpbs speeds it will really blow peoples minds...

Im excited
Sprint will need to be unforgiving with marketing and advertising or VZW Will barrel roll their way through with pre-ads even before LTE takes to the air.

There is little doubt that WiMAX is worth much more than people give it credit for. But VZW ...

I'm Getting WiMax in OC, CA

I'm getting WiMax in parts of Orange County, and LA useing my Clear Laptop card

Picked it!

I was able to pick up 1 bar in Bay Ridge area in Brooklyn. Bad news is, it was only 1 bar with USB301 and when I did a speedtest I got a ping around 100's and download speed of 0.54Mbps LOL.
Here in Wilmington, DE mine did that and a couple weeks later it was full blown with 5-7mbps average DL speeds.. patience! lol
