Research In Motion today announced the availability of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 as a beta. RIM will send invitations to those who've registered with RIM's BlackBerry Beta Zone (used to test beta products). Those interested in testing BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 will first need to register for the Beta Zone. According to RIM, many of the changes made to BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 reflect changes that are coming in the BlackBerry 6 operating system. Based on screen shots posted to the official BlackBerry blog, the software has seen a major overhaul in appearance and is for Windows-based machines. RIM didn't say how long the software will be in beta before a final release.
