Today Verizon Wireless announced that BlackBerry devices on its network will now have access to its V CAST services. BlackBerry customers using BIS (BlackBerry Internet Services, for consumers) will notice the addition of a V CAST icon in the main menu, which when used will link to Verizon's V CAST services. Verizon said that business customers using BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) will need to contact their admins to gain access to V CAST. V CAST apps will initially be available on the Bold 9650, Storm2 9550, Curve 8530 and Tour 9630, followed by the Storm 9530 and Curve 8330 in the coming weeks. Verizon also said that customers will have the option to block V CAST apps on their handsets. Applications and services purchased through V CAST apps are billed directly to user accounts.

Dear VZW

Stop pushing crap to my phone that I don't want. At least let us have the option to accept the download or not
I, for one, think this is a good thing. Took long enough though!
