Cingular Launches Recorded Ringtones

Cingular today introduced Super Tones - ringtones incorporating voice, sound and real music. Cingular's library of Super Tones includes over 400 high-quality sounds that are recordings of celebrity voices, popular songs, and sound effects. The ringtones range in price from $1.99 to $2.49, and are available immediately for the Nokia Nokia 3300, 3600 and 3650 phones. The service is provided in partnership with Moviso.
Nextbit Delivers Promised Update to Robin Smartphone, Drops the Mic on New Ringtones
Nextbit said its planned system update for the Robin smartphone will begin going out over the air today. The update pushes the operating system to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and includes the April security update, and tweaks to the camera, processor, and sound drivers.
Apple's GarageBand Scores Alchemy Synthesizer
Apple today announced a major update to GarageBand, its music creating and recording app for iOS devices. Chiefly, GarageBand now includes the Alchemy synthesizer, which adds more than 150 new patches from Apple that span myriad styles like pop, rock, EDM, and hip hop.
AT&T Resurrects the 'Cingular' Brand for Flip Phone
AT&T recently added the Cingular Flip to its lineup of inexpensive feature phones. The phone is made by TeleEpoch and bears the model number M3620, but AT&T named it the Cingular Flip to give it some visibility.
Vine Adds Music to Video Loops
Vine has updated its Android and iOS apps with a new feature allowing users to easily attach music to their videos. A function called Snap to Beat makes it easy to create what Vine refers to as perfect loops, or soundtracks that loop seamlessly with no breaks.
LG Announces Music Service for Its High-End Phones
LG today announced a high-fidelity music service for several of its flagship handsets. The Hi-Fi music offering will make high-quality tracks available to LG owners in about 70 countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Russia, the U.K., and the U.S.
