Apple has made the iPhone 4 available for pre-order directly from the Apple Store online. Based on Apple.com, only the black version of the iPhone 4 will be available on the June 24 launch. Apple lists the white version as "unavailable for pre-order or in-store pick-up." Apple doesn't say when the white one will become available. The iPhone 4 16GB costs $199 and the 32GB costs $299. THose who pre-order can choose between in-store pick-up on June 24 or delivery to their home. Beginning today, people can also pre-order the iPhone 4 in person at Best Buy, RadioShack, and AT&T retail stores. In addition to iPhone pre-orders, Apple also announced a new application for all iOS devices, including the iPhone, that lets users interact with the Apple Store. The application lets users shop from their phone, look up retail stores, read customer reviews, as well as make Personal Shopper, Genius Bar, and One-to-One appointments. The Apple Store app is free.

However....

The flipping website is clogged with folks trying to order. Unbelievable....

Will
I finally gave up on the website, the Apple Store app, the Apple Store 800 number (who uses the same website and is having the same difficulty as us in dealing with AT&T), the AT&T Premier Support 866 number (where reps are literally pretending to be ...

Enjoy your new phone

Hurry up Crapple fanboys!!! Don't forget to trip over each other to throw your $$$ at Jobs' lackluster creation. Just think, next year you'll be able to buy what should have been on this unit. Don't forget to turn on that WiFi to get Video Calls due to AT&T sh*tty new data plans. 2GB??? lmao I can waste that in a day!!

Love that still un-removable battery and memory. What a MAJOR FAIL!!! lmao Enjoy your King Jobs approved apps too. Heaven forbid the device you purchase does not meet the world according to him.

Remember too the workers there in China, getting that big time $80 per month salary while Apple tries to tell you it's "great" wages for that area! Exactly why people are drinking Kool-Aid while working there! Yep!!! Enjoy your...

LMAO, troll. Do you really think no other phones are made overseas? Please. 🙄
Be sure to quip in with a bunch of red herrings that haven't been relevant to iPhone ownership from day one! Heaven forbid you don't have a removable battery when your integrated one lasts 3x as long and your phone is still more compact even with a ba...

Servers down

AT&T's servers have crapped out. You can't actually Pre-order an iPhone as you won't get past the eligibility check screen. 👿 .

I cut AT&T more slack than most people, but really? You guys didn't think maybe to beef up your upgrade check system for what's likely to be a record selling phone?
Apple's site was no help, but the iPhone App was successful! I'll have mine on day one. 😎

After being pressured by the Foundation for Consumer and Taxpayer Rights, Apple finally released details about iPhone's battery replacement procedure, and to some people it is clear why the company kept a secret in the first place.

iPhone's battery, which is soldered on inside the device, will cost $79 to replace, plus $6.95 for shipping. The iPhone battery replacement process will take 3 days.

Will Apple give you a loaner iPhone while you wait the 3 days? Of course. for an additional $29. That's over $100 just to change you...

I'd have to say, the Anti-iPhone Trolls on this site are FAR worse than us iPhone fanboys!

Geez...

? article is about the apple store app, and you are talking about batteries..you are an idiot. stay on topic or don't post at all.

it wont stop be from buying the iPhone 4, no one cares about US Cellular.

I doubt it's a hater. It sounds more like a bot.

And FYI...US Cellular phones don't have the battery soldered into the device. So you're comparing replacing something that pops out into your hand vs something hardwired into a device.
You're an idi...

No pre-orders for Radio Shack

This morning Radio Shack changed their pre-orders to a "reservation". A store manager for Radio Shack said this morning that they were contacted by Apple and told that they could not guarantee availability and therefore the Shack was not able to take pre-orders. Those who have made a reservation will know if they can pick up their iPhone4 on the 24th after each Shack store makes a mad dash for their national allocation set aside for today. They are allowed to enter their orders at noon today. First come first serve.
best buy it is for me!

still debating, either white or black, I have a white 3GS right now, but selling that for 350, and putting that towards my iPhone 4.
