Verizon Wireless recently announced that it will offer its free Skype application to a wider range of handsets, including "3G multimedia devices" later this year. Verizon didn't specify which handsets, nor exactly when the app will become available. Verizon also indicated that it will offer the Skype application in Spanish, Korean, and Chinese. Verizon said that the application is due for a refresh soon, which will include a revised user interface that includes a drop-down menu with flags for international dialing. The application is already available to about a dozen of Verizon Wireless' smartphones.

surprised

that verizon would do this. i wonder how this will work because aren't they doing tiered data also? voip would eat up your cap. i personally love using skype ota via tmobile 3G and big red is doing a good thing here. how will this affect minute/data pricing?
Skype on verizon phone's isn't true VOIP. it uses the phone line to make the actual call, which is why it doesn't work over wifi

Skype Lite?

So is this the Lite Version that was released and pulled because it was defeating the purpose of Skype? If not, I'd like to hear some feedback from any users out there that currently use this app?

Thanks!
