During today's WWDC keynote, Apple said the iPhone 4 will go on sale starting June 24 for $199 (16GB) and $299 (32GB). It will be available in white and black. The iPhone 3GS will be priced at $99 (8GB), with that price point also available starting June 24. The iPhone 3G has been discontinued. Apple also announced the iPhone OS 4.0 will be available to all iPhones starting June 21 for free. AT&T has indicated that all current subscribers who have contracts ending at any time in 2010 will be able to upgrade to the iPhone 4 at the $199/$299 price points.

nice try, apple! almost convince me!

iphone 4 with the same old screen side (3.5"). i guess i will be keeping my hd2 with huge 4.3" screen! it' hard to go back to a smaller screen!
it' like watching TV on a 42" screen, it's hard to go back to a smaller 27" TV!
well this is not a TV

its a phone so screen size is not a determining factor to MASS EXTENT.

Apple Playing it's fan boys again

So this year Iphone 4, next year Iphone 4G, year after 4GS, ETC.....

I like apple but i would just wait for the 4g Iphone in a year.
No matter, Apple/AT&T seem to be providing yearly upgrades on iPhones to primary account holders.

I do not see a problem here. The Apple-philes LOVE forking out money for Apple products. It's a win for them. It's a win for Apple and a win for AT&T. Everyopne is happy.

3Gs since 7/9/09, am I eligable for upgrade?

I bought an iPhone 3Gs and renewed my 2 year contract on 7/9/09. Would I be eligable this year for the reduced pricing? ($200 for 16GB)

Thanks!
yes
You're contract ends in July of 2011 so why do you think you would qualify for this deal?

8GB 3GS??

👀
Yeah I was caught by that as well.

Interesting, downgrade the 3GS to 8GB. Its a never before offered hard drive version. I've never seen a manufacturer go backwards before, but leave it up to apple.

Way to go AT&T!

Smart move guys!

This is almost a non-event.

I am glad no Verizon iPhone. Who wants those retards on America's best network anyway.

Apple/AT&T aren't running the show anymore. 🤣

That explains the ETF!

Usually I'm no conspiracy theorist, but...

AT&T upped the ETF to $325 and instantly gives everyone that has an upgrade this year, that upgrade right now. If there was ever a mass exodus planned, this would halt it for sure...
Agreed. Very shrewd move.

THANK YOU for not naming this the '4G'...

Now all the customers calling about the 4G iPhone can shove it!
I agree...not having to explain to people that it's not a 4g phone is going to make me less likely to pull my hair out!
