Today Nokia and T-Mobile announced the E73 Mode, the newest in Nokia's family of monoblock-style QWERTY phones. The E73 Mode is a follow-up device to the E72 and carries forward the same basic form factor. According to Nokia, the E73 is compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network, and also has Wi-Fi. It runs S60, and has the same mode switch found on the E71 and E72, which lets users create two different profiles for different usage scenarios. The E73 includes Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync client, IBM Lotus Traveler, and a number of other business-friendly features such as Ovi Files, QuickOffice, Adobe PDF Manager and Zip Manager. The E73 will be pre-loaded with Ovi Maps, which offers turn-by-turn directions for free. Nokia said that T-Mobile customers will be able to make content purchases from the Ovi Store using their T-Mobile account. The E73 also has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, WebKit-based browser, and a media player. It will be available from T-Mobile starting June 16. It will cost $70 with a new contract.

why would nokia

keep making this phone???
it sux i had the e71x. i can't even customize the home screen like i would normally would with another phone...
Hmm, I had the N95 for 2yrs, and it's essentially the same software, I was able to customize that, make shortcuts.
I guess because people are still buying it. I will sell a ton of these
Remember AT&T really gutted the e71 when they released it as the e71x.Locked out alot of features and loaded alot of AT&T bloatware. People who used the unlocked version were very satisified.Hopefully T-Mobile is far more open.

ATT's branding destroyed E71x.
Try E71 and you'll experience totally different.
Probably because the E series phones are very nice and very good at what they do. It might not have the shine and glamour that iPhone and Android have, but it is solid and very reliable.
I have the e7x too, and it's not that it's a bad device... it's what ATT did to it when they decided to carry it.

I may switch back to tmo if this gets some good reviews in the first week

Great Smartphone

This will be a great addition to T-Mobile business users and normal users who want a Very Stylish looking phone. Great features and Camera. Feels great in your hands. You can configure to your liking. I love this phone.
You got that right. It has a secondary camera on the front. It can sync directly with your computer to exchange filed without a usb cord. It can conference up to 6 people on a call. Some really good stuff
