Android 2.1 Update Rolling Out to Eris Users

Verizon Wireless has indicated via its official support Twitter account that the HTC Droid Eris is being update over-the-air from Android 1.5 to Android 2.1. The new system software offers a wealth of improvements and new features. Users will be alerted when their device is ready.
