Sirius XM has announced that its Internet-based, streaming radio app for satellite radio subscribers is coming to certain Android devices. The radio provider mentions the Motorola Droid and Google Nexus One specifically, which would seem to indicate the service will require a faster Android device among the current crop. Users will get a 7-day trial to start, then a subscription will be required to listen to the 120 channels of Sirius XM content. Though the channel lineup includes plenty of music, news and talk channels, certain popular premium channels will be missing. Specifically, NFL, MLB, NASCAR and Howard Stern will not be available on the streaming online service available on the Android app. The app will be available as a free download in May.
