RealNetworks Trots Out its MVP, Teams with MetroPCS

Today RealNetworks announced its new Mobile Video Portal. The Mobile Video Portal is a white-labeled video streaming service that RealNetworks is offering to network operators. It will allow handsets to view live and on-demand video from their phones. Real believes that this offering will help handset makers and network operators offer mobile video services faster and at a lower cost. Real says developers can use its platform to publish video apps to all platforms, including iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Java. RealNetworks also announced today that it has struck a new deal with MetroPCS. MetroPCS will use Real's Media Entertainment Platform to deploy its MetroMusic Store to customers. The store will maker it easier for subscribers to find, play and manage their digital content.
