Today Samsung announced the SCH-u820, a new touchphone headed to Verizon Wireless. The u820 is a TouchWiz 2.0-based phone that has a 3.0-inch, WQVGA touch screen with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Samsung pitches the u820 as a social networking device, with a specific Communities widget that allows users to update their status or post photos or videos to their social networking sites. Other hardware features include a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capture, media player, HTML browser, 3.5mm headset jack, microSD card support, and Microsoft Office Exchange email support. The u820 should be available on April 30th. Price will fall between $80 and $100 with new agreement.
