Today Firethorn announced a new mobile banking application / web service that works with a large number of handsets available in the U.S. The Firethorn mobile banking app works with the bulk of devices being offered by AT&T, CellularSouth, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless. In addition to supporting more networks and devices, the mobile banking app now works with more than 3,700 different financial institutions, including banks, credit card companies, credit unions and more. Consumers can use the app to check their account balances, see their latest transactions, and track if payments have cleared. Some banks will offer additional features, such as bill pay and funds transfer, as well as the ability to receive and view rewards and offers.
