AT&T Pushes Family Locator Details To iPhone

Today AT&T announced an updated version of its FamilyMap iPhone application that comes with a number of new features. The biggest change is that it allows users to locate family members and see their whereabouts directly on their mobile phone. Previously this feature was limited to a computer. Users can now also customize more locations and points of interest, as well as their own devices with labels. Other new features that the application provides include the ability to check family members' schedules, set up landmarks, pan through the map to locate people, locate family members on-demand, and send messages to family members from within the FamilyMap application. The service costs $10 per month for two lines, or $15 per month for up to five lines.

Apple has revealed the iPhone 15 series, which moves to a USB-C connector and brings several key features from last year's Pro models to the more-affordable standard models. These include the pill-shaped sensor cutout in the display that Apple calls Dynamic Island, a brighter display that can reach 2000 nits, a 48 megapixel main camera, and the A16 Bionic processor chip.

No, the parents are paying for the plan. They should be able to locate the phones they are paying for.

Geez!

This is a terrible application! I have taken more than a few calls on "parents" wanting to subscribe to Chaperone without their "child" knowing they have done so. I think this would be a deal killer for me. You want to do what?! Here! Take your phone I'll get my own!
