BlackBerry Curve 8530 Now On Sale at Sprint

Today Sprint announced the availability of the BlackBerry Curve 8530. It's available online, Sprint stores, telesales and through Sprint's business channels starting today. It costs $50 after rebates with a new agreement.

I like but then again...

I like the fact they got rid of that annoying trackball...

don't like the fact that when I first saw it I thought about it being a palm model before RIM... i dunno am i alone on that

definitely cool that sprint is bringing the smart phones and higher end devices

Available in stores?

Is it only available in third party stores because none of the corporate stores in my district have any yet.
The phone is not available anywhere except for direct ship and telesales. The information posted is wrong.

Different for a new smart phone...

It is surprising that a new Blackberry would launch at this price point. Launching at the same price as the Curve (excluding the buy one get one promo) is a refreshing change. It is a great buy considering that the OS and BB features don't differ much from one another. Plus the optical pad to replace the trackball is a great touch. Kudos RIM!!! Now you just need enough to distribute to stores before the holidays are over.
