MetroPCS Hit With Class Action Suit Over False Ads

Article Comments  21

A MetroPCS customer is filing a class action lawsuit against the company and claims that its advertisements are misleading. The lead plaintiff in the case purchased MetroPCS' "Unlimited International Calls" add-on option for the advertised price of $5. The plaintiff claims that neither MetroPCS nor its representatives made known the number of countries that are excluded from the plan, noting specifically that the U.K. and Israel are excluded. The suit alleges that MetroPCS breached its contract, misled consumers, used bait-and-switch tactics, and violated consumer protection laws. The lawsuit was filed in New York.

It's always people who want something for nothing. Their brochure also lists all of the countries included.

MetroPCS customers can call UK and Israel with no calling card. THis is a Bogus lawsuit

Dude, there is NO WAY this plaintiff has a case. I myself call Israel at least twice a week and the UK a few times a month as I have family in both places. THe only thing I can see is that this guy is calling cell phones in the UK and Israel which it CLEARLY states you can not call cell phones.

Besides the fact that they have a number search utility that lets you look up the phone number to make sure you can call that number using the unlimited plan.
the question then becomes how much are you being charged to make those calls?

tmobile22 is absolutely correct!!!!!!!!!
He is calling cellphones in other countries which charges any network huge $$$.
Even MetroPCS knows that.
If morons would just go to the website they would find that out!!!!!! 🤣

Do your Homework first!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does not take a PCS scientist to go to the MetroPCS website where there is a drop-down box to see what countries and even international phone numbers are not covered. 🙄
Another example of lazy and stupid subscribers not doing their homework first and using advertising to justify a lawsuit. MetroPCS did not put a gun to anyone's head or mislead in anyway shape or form.
Just go to the website, do your research on it, and the answer is as plain as the word stupid that is written all over your pointed heads. 🙄
